Hi everyone,
Its been an uneventful day except that EJ went fishing for the first time since the chicks came along and brought back a whopper of a fish. I believe there was a total of 8 brought to the nest but will be corrected if I am wrong.
Two of our young ospreys were preening but now only one who has got up and is still at it. The other two are asleep.
Nearly the end of June already and look how they've grown!!
Enjoy the night viewing wherever you are. Night, night.

Must be a biggie - they are still eating - except middle chick anyway.
Thank you for all the fish reports and post everyone. Large rainbow trout indeed Sandy
Youngest accidentally trod of middle chicks tail - oh dear - so little one got hurt too :( quite a prolonged attack by middle chick
There's a right barney going on, switched on and they were eating, EJ still doing so, and then, my goodness don't know whether it was #1 ,#2 or Titch going hammer and tongs with each other.
ooo that looked sore, one of them now has a couple of feathers less

Who attacked who, and who won? Very last picture before it went B&W, showing the winner grabbing a beakfull of the loser's feathers:
Two young ospreys are taking food from mum whilst the other one is sitting there looking all doleful, as if to say where's mine.
I'm afraid you have to get up offf your bottom and nosey on in there to get some.
It obviously was a whopper because they are still eating.
It was an accident Sandy - youngest was bumbling around and trod on middle chicks tail - it must have tweeked !! anyway she/he received a prolonged attack for its mistake
Titch just attacked #! or #2. It was a nasty attack!! Not just poking and pushing , but Titch was actually pulling out feathers . I didn't see what provoked Titch, but my guess is someone encroached on it's space. Titch has big issues about it's perceived space .
If Titch was attacking #1 that is interesting. The chick being attacked took a submissive pose.
EJ ,as usual, just calmly went on feeding the other chick as the brawl was taking place on the other side of the nest .
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
No BarbaraJean the whole thing started by accident - it was Youngest who trod on the tail of middle chick - by accident not design. But middle chick really took umbrage and badly pecked youngest who coward
How big was that fish? It was an hour long!
