Hi everyone,
Its been an uneventful day except that EJ went fishing for the first time since the chicks came along and brought back a whopper of a fish. I believe there was a total of 8 brought to the nest but will be corrected if I am wrong.
Two of our young ospreys were preening but now only one who has got up and is still at it. The other two are asleep.
Nearly the end of June already and look how they've grown!!
Enjoy the night viewing wherever you are. Night, night.

Yes, but its gone pretty quickly and the littleun is calling for more and getting quite cross.
Maybe not, did mum leave some for them to forage on their own, not sure, they seem to be looking for scraps.. No I don't think she did, just looking at what they can get up to on the nest. Wing flapping now and then.
Looks as though its all gone now, so they have started to complain again...

Just what do they think they're doing, one came over to where EJ was and so she moved, now its followed mum round. One is chunnering like mad and trying to move a stick, the other one has decided to join in too.
They've had a shock today, they're not used to being hungry!
EJ gone for a break. Sun is shining, lovely evening despite the wind.

I haven't managed to get on much today ... just quick glances at the screen in passing ... en route from the garden ( its pouring with rain here now so that's the end of the gardening). I gather we are awaiting a fish delivery ... from EJ or Odin!

They're certainly not used to being hungry and EJ hs been off the nest for long periods today. I really do think we'll see the pecking order come into being over the next few days. One more part of their learning, I suppose and the really must be hungry, don't think the fish have been that big, or have they?

Lynette - it was a beautiful day here too ... very hot and humid ... until about 5 o'clock ... just after I'd finished watering some plants .... and the heavens opened! Still raining, but not as heavily.

Good evening all and thanks for all the pics and the commentary. Only 4 fish today, they must be starving (don't know about that) but I wonder if this the stage of their development when less fish come in in readiness for the soon to come time of feeding themselves. All asleep on the nest and EJ away at the moment. At least the wind seems to have dropped so that should make fishing easier.
