Hi everyone and good morning to our overseas visitors.
EJ is off the nest at present leaving the chicks sleeping. Could very well be on her perch at the side of the nest. Quite a few moths flying around.
I believe there were 6 fish delivered yesterday, the last one about 6pm. 4 very early and 2 within the space of an hour round about 5pm. Not been a delivery since so he could be curtailing his fishing trips.
Have a nice day everyone, see you in the morning.

All are pottering around the nest now - one young one has been moving the moss about, playing "house" and copying Mum - more evidence of a female perhaps ! ?
The young 'uns are racketing about the nest, getting restless - "don't you stretch your wing over me, you brute!" and "I wanted to stand at the edge just there!"
Pic of the youngest with 'his' distinctive more plain breast feathers - Male??
EJ just had a quick comfort break, and has now returned: here she is just after landing- "Hello, Mum!"
Good morning all and it is a lovely day at Loch Garten again. 3 fish already I think Odin is fishing before it gets too hot or is bulk buying. Must be some special offers somewhere. Thanks to all the night shift and the early day shifit for pics and the commentary.
Linda I am sure Titch (ha ha) is a male as well, so looking forward to finding out which won't be long now.
Hope you all have nice weather this morning and Cirrus enjoy your hike.
Off to catch up now.

"You in your small corner and I in mine" - if a round nest can have corners!
This gives them max distance apart for wing stretching without invading one another's personal space - and they can't even provoke each other with one of their meaningful stares!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Morning all and thanks for the early morning fish reports and pics. Looks like there will be sunny periods and scattered fish later just like yesterday.
Interesting sighting on birdguides yesterday:
25/06 23:01 DORSET : Osprey, Wareham [S]two over Wareham Meadows today
Still only three fish so far
Mamma and Eldest keep vigil
Laugh out loud Alan - I liked that. Sunny periods and scattered fish

Wow Alan why am I never in the right place at the right time. Does that mean I wonder that they are young ospreys who have not travelled up North and have decided to stay on the South Coast where there are plenty of opportunites for fishing.
