Hi everyone and good morning to our overseas visitors.
EJ is off the nest at present leaving the chicks sleeping. Could very well be on her perch at the side of the nest. Quite a few moths flying around.
I believe there were 6 fish delivered yesterday, the last one about 6pm. 4 very early and 2 within the space of an hour round about 5pm. Not been a delivery since so he could be curtailing his fishing trips.
Have a nice day everyone, see you in the morning.

Three snoozing on the nest. I had to laugh at the image of Heron mantling and chirping angrily at the failed phone line.
3am ish and 3 huge blobs snoozing away. No sign of EJ. Not sure she could fit on there at the moment anyway:)
Evening all: Been gone most of the day. EJ just arrived.
I think Odin is about to arrive and here he is - first fish of the day.
These birds have grown tremendously since I saw them last night. Amazing. Two interested in eating; the third facing the other way and doing a bit of flapping. Odin has left.
First fish of the day
Plus Juvenile #1 is getting very good at straightening it's wings to a completely horizontal position when it exercises them . The other two still have them very bent .
EDIT The chick not eating right now is juvenile #1 It doesn't have the white patch on the side of it's head Maybe it knows it needs to lose a bit of weight to be able to fly LOL
#1 has also been very curious of what is out from the nest . I have seen it gazing out several times

The fish must have been small. It is gone already
Genghis: Thanks for your post yesterday about the activity/location of fish relative to the time of day/temps. Interesting. I think the chick that wasn't interested in eating ended up snoozing. The other two are either pecking at bits of fish or twigs. EJ is close to the camera; has now hopped up to her perch on the right.
Heron: Per your comments of 24-hours ago - (quick off-topic) it's taken me ages to remember to turn the new electric oven On in order to get it to heat; resulted in some late dinners initially!
EJ is practicing her "balance beam" routine on the two large branches on the right
Barbara Jean: I've noticed too that that chick seems to be more advanced in terms of flapping and looking out at the world.
