Hi everyone, happy viewing through the early hours.
Barbara Jean posted a pic on yesterdays diary (at the end) of the chicks in May, compare them to now, they are young ospreys not those fluffy little bundles anymore.
EJ and her brood are sleeping, all is at peace.
See you all in the morning, night, night.

They are all lined up this time so must be hungry. Mum can't get it to them fast enough.
Here he comes again! Poor Odin ... EJ nearly took his feet off she was so eager to get the fish off him :-) Fish#6

forgot to mention that it was greeted with great excitement, EJ doing her backwards walk and the young ones joining in the chorus
Oh Goodness! - that's another one to add to the list then, well done Odin.
Last pic of the day from the still cam, at 6.00pm..... they still look the same now, still eating, so must have been a big one.....
I just logged in to find I didn't miss much since this morning. Odin just delivered fish #'s 5 & 6 .
All look stuffed and happy now. Even EJ got a sizable feed .
I am surprised that even with the long wait to eat between the 4 fish this morning and these fish late in the day there was no nest fighting over the food.
This brood is too civil ! They are not going to be members of the clergy, they are birds of prey and need to practice a little aggression LOL

I think the civility may not last long once the fish are left in the nest for them to feed themselves over the next week or so. Think pecking order may come into play then. Can't imagine them being too unruly though if the fish are as frequent as they have been. They really don't need to be aggressive to be good BoP just good at fishing and experts at harassing others for their catches.lol

EJ is working on placing a large piece of bark (or roofing material) in a strategic place along the barrier . LOL

Sometimes they need to defend their space or food. I was thinking of when Garten had to defend her fish from White TF. Garten put up a valiant fight and kept her fish
If she was docile White TF would have stolen it .
They're too fat to be aggressive! All they've done all their lives is eat, sleep and preen - they haven't even been very adventurous around the nest.
I think EJ will spend more time on her favourite perch now that the kids are so big, and have started exercising their wings:
