Hi everybody, Its been a great day at LG, weather has been kind, particularly after the wind dropped. Not sure how many fish were delivered.
News from LOTL is that Lady is making steady progress so one hopes she will see out the season.
At present the youngsters are home alone, EJ is probably on a perch keeping an eye on the nest from that or she has gone for a flyaround.
Off to bed, see you in the morning.

EJ just flew up to the nest from the trees in the background.
Hi Annette.
(don't talk about the horse!! lol. Going to be a week late. Bad weather somewhere delayed the inbound trip, then truck needs service. So, hope to have pickup on 30th... We are In Niagara for a couple of days with MIL but managed to smuggle laptop with me for some viewing time:) Hope all OK with you.
Sorry for off topic stuff. The chicks do look lovely in the early morning light.
Odin decided to sleep late this morning. It is nearly 5:30 and no fish yet

Gary: What off-topic!? :-) Don't go too close to the edge of the Falls.
Barbara Jean: EJ is clearly waiting for him; in the meantime, at LOTL, Lady and the two chicks have already had breakfast delivered to their door.
Well, it's almost 6 a.m. UK time and 10 p.m. California time and I'm heading for the sack folks. No fish yet! That lay-a-bed Odin! Still all quiet on the nest. EJ watchful; chicks - um - giant furry thingies stretching, poo-ing and having a little preen. Love it when they stretch and nearly topple on their noses with their bottoms in the air. Sun is definitely up now.
Assume Barbara Jean or someone is lurking and will clue us in on the first fish of the day. Take care all.
Odin just delivered a large live fish!
EJ grabbed it post haste !! Chick #2 and Titch are so big that chick #1 can't fit in the food line. It is waiting it's turn There will be plenty from that large fish
Chick #1 is using the time to exercise it's wings
Some one said that EJ did not fish until the chicks fledged when Henry was her mate. I wonder if she will do the same this year with Odin as her mate.
Last year she may have gone fishing because she wasn't completely confident that Odin would provide as much as they needed. After 2 breeding season she may feel more secure with him.
It will be interesting to see if she does go fishing before they fledge
Good morning all and thanks for the commentary during the night and the fish delivery this morning which seems to be been a good size. Chicks have grown overnight it seems and all quitet on tne nest at the moment. Have to go out for a while this morning and dentist this afteroon so I think osprey watching will be curtailed somewhat today. Beautiful morning here in Poole and going to be very hot today. See you later.
Margobird
2 chicks preening, one rearranging furniture, EJ watching over them from her perch on side of nest.
All is peaceful, both on this nest and at LotL. Both mothers sitting happily at the sides of their nests, while their young are sleeping/preening. Sunshine, and no wind.
--what a lovely sight!
Thanks to All for night reports & comments: Welcome to Grumbleweed! Nice to see you on here.
