Hi everybody, what a day its been.
LG has been fairly quiet all day with comings and goings of fish deliveries, I think it was 5 in all. Those chicks are enormous now, coming up to their peak growing spurt.
At LOTL things have taken, at present, a turn for the better. I will try and post the last blog that Peter wrote::
21 June 2010 2:36 UpdateWhat a day it has been for all involved. Isn’t this bird amazing, she has now fed herself and the chicks 4 times now this evening. This is good news and yes there is a but, but she still is not 100%. Let's hope our male can get some fish into the nest early tomorrow morning so she can feed again soon. Fiona and I will be here through the night to keep an eye on her. We will keep the blog updated as usual, which reminds me to thank the guys at Red Paint for getting the blog up and running again. They do a great job for us.Peter
Thats for those of you who don't always get time to look at LOTL's blog. Hope it helps.
At present, EJ is getting some shuteye and the chicks are dozing with the occasional bit of restlessness. I think it must be midges that keep going in front of the camera.
Night, night, all back in the morning.

And she is back and all the chicks are up and shouting, expecting dad to fly in with a fish.
I think Odin should bring fish soon one chick has been calling for ages. Lot of reening this afternoon but think they are getting fedup with that now.
Margobird
17.09 and fish delivered as ususal knew it was coming from the noise. Odin has decided to move some large sticks about while EJ is trying to feed the chicks.
Odin arrives ... to everyone's delight ... you would think those chicks hadn't been fed today!

Fish!
Back on after sorting things out for dinner to find Odin has delivered and as I put on the webcam he was moving a large branch to in front of the camera to build up the sides, needs to because those youngsters are perilously close to the edge at times.
EJ being mum and feeding her brood.
All eating again like there's no tomorrow...
---Hi Annette !
margobird ... I saw Odin moving the furniture ... at one point I thought he was going to leave that branch right up in front of the camera!
One chick is now calling again, one chick has finished unless its all gone which looks like it has. Must have been a small one. Not enough to fill their enormous appetities.
EJ looking round as if to say, "come on Odin that wasn't enough".
The chicks look huge when nearest the camera..... bigger than EJ! Here is one stretching wings....
