Hi everybody, what a day its been.
LG has been fairly quiet all day with comings and goings of fish deliveries, I think it was 5 in all. Those chicks are enormous now, coming up to their peak growing spurt.
At LOTL things have taken, at present, a turn for the better. I will try and post the last blog that Peter wrote::
21 June 2010 2:36 UpdateWhat a day it has been for all involved. Isn’t this bird amazing, she has now fed herself and the chicks 4 times now this evening. This is good news and yes there is a but, but she still is not 100%. Let's hope our male can get some fish into the nest early tomorrow morning so she can feed again soon. Fiona and I will be here through the night to keep an eye on her. We will keep the blog updated as usual, which reminds me to thank the guys at Red Paint for getting the blog up and running again. They do a great job for us.Peter
Thats for those of you who don't always get time to look at LOTL's blog. Hope it helps.
At present, EJ is getting some shuteye and the chicks are dozing with the occasional bit of restlessness. I think it must be midges that keep going in front of the camera.
Night, night, all back in the morning.

Linda / Joan a truly lovely picture. Thanks for all early news and especialiy Annette for reporting on both nests overnight. Two fish this morning, no wonder the chicks look so contented.
Ghengis, so sorry you are suffering with the chickenpox.
Morning everyone. Thanks for all the updates already. So pleased to hear the chicks have had at least two breakfasts. Look at the three monsters this morning! They are just gigantic!!
Hi, just logged on. Domestic scene of chicks active, mum watching over them etc They are young juveniles now not baby chicks anymore, they are huge!!!! Thanks for all the updates and pics from everyone, glad to see 2 fish have already been delivered.
News at LOTL is very encouraging, see Peter's update.
EJ just gone for a flyabout, chicks wondering where mum has gone and how long is it before we can.
Just a comfort break, and she is back and doing her housework.
Have to go to the dentist, will catch up later
Morning all and thanks for all the overnight and early morning reports. Sorry about the chickenpox Genghis. Hope you will be better soon. Superodin has delivered 2 fish already and everything is looking great on the nest. So difficult to identify each individual chick now.
Good morning all and what a beautiful morning at LG. Just logged in to check on fish deliveries and delighted to see there have been 2. Chicks look gigantic now, wonder how long it will be before EJ decides she needs a different bed at night.
Thanks for all the pics and there are some lovely ones this morning.
Thanks Annette for updated on both nests and ghenghis sorry about the chicen pox that is not good at all. Hope you feel better soon.
Just going to catch up now with LOtL, had a quick look this morning but now need to catdh up with the blogs.

I notice the chicks rest on the rhs of the nest to leave the green lawn free for Odin to land with big fish!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Morning all,
Thanks Annette as usual for the updates from Across the Pond, and Lindybird for the pictures. I often take a few snapshots myself, especially in the early morning sun, but I don't need to post anymore on here of proud mum and contented, snoozy chicks LOL All now at the right hand side of the nest, lined up, with EJ near the edge watching over them all. She was shrieking for a few seconds a little while ago, but now all is quiet and calm.
I can't identify the chicks either now. From here I can see the two in the foreground quite clearly. The nearest, and what looks like the larger one seems to have a longer tail, but the other one's tail, although shorter, has darker feathers. The one in the background may be titch as I can see a bit of a stripe on the back, but from this angle it is far from clear.

EJ shrieking again, and mantling a bit, but whatever it was has passed. Chick in background has just moved to the back of the nest, and I can see the white stripe clearly now, so it must be titch. Is it my imagination or is EJ looking rather thin?
