It looks peaceful, EJ is standing at the edge of the nest. Chicks are a bit restless but seem to be settling.
I think it was 5 fish that Odin brought in yesterday.
quick update for LOTL fans: Lady seemed to rally a bit more today but is still quite ill. Camera at LOTL is down at the moment. I know its not on the correct thread but not everybody has time to catch up on the LOTL blog.
Anyway all is calm, happy viewing, I'm off to bed now. Oh, and before I forget, first day of summer here, well let's hope it is.

Thank you DjoanS and Brenda must admit I have been watching Wimbledon in between watching what is going on on the webcams.. It is very hot here today and I can't go in the garden for too long because of my skin problems, hugs to you both. I can't believe how little room there is in the nest now. Those little fluffy bundles of a few weeks ago are no more.

Unknown said: Stop worrying Margo, I have just read all the commentary and I would say it has all been very efficient today as most have probably got an eye on LOTL as well as here, plus in my case watching Wimbledon. They are all your regular friends and they wouldn't ignore you intentionly. Glad that you have filled in your application and I am sure it will be a cert that you are chosen. Big Hug and Cheer Up.

Do you know how many fish there have been today. I think is 4 so far but could be wrong. All i know is they are getting bigger by the minute and I am wondering if they will fledge earlier than last year's brood. think it is the largest chick who has been doing quite a lot of wing stretching and flapping.
Hard to believe that Roger Federer has lost the first two sets although he has just managed to win the third.
Margo, I have just had a quick look back and it seems to be 4 fish so far.
Margobird without osprey watchers like you many of us would never know what is happening at LG. I only have time to dip out and in and I rely on people like you to keep me up to date. I am also keeping my fingers crossed for you that you get the dates you want for your volunteering at LG.

Thanks Brenda I thought it was, looking as though EJ is scanning the sky for another one at the moment.
As far as I can follow, that is a fish count of 4 so far today, margobird. Odin is doing well and keeping up with demand, I think. EJ is always on the lookout, though whether its for Odin or for that pesky intruder who's giving her so much trouble this year, I don't know.
If you're trying to keep one eye on the ball at Wimbledon at the same time, you may get crossed eyes, as we used to say when we were children!! (Big <HUG> from me, too...!)
EDIT: I am sometimes answering the phone for our business, or in the garden, or in the kitchen which is m i l e s away from here, so not always answering you straight away!
Thanks you so much Linda. Had to laugh at the crossed eyes but can only see out of one eye anyway so an unexpected bonus. One of the few times it is an advantage. I keep looking at the heap of chicks in the nest not much space for EJ now and I watched her earlier trying to tidy up a bit but one of the kids wouldn't get out of the way, just typical.
Hugs to you as well.

Thank you george g for your kind words especially as I know things are pretty tough for you at the moment.
I too am hoping I will get the week I want but you have to give 4 choices and if successful any on those 4 would be brilliant.
As you will have seen those chicks keep us all so amused at their antics now and their growth spurt is amazing but with a Dad like our wonderful Odin it is no wonder.
Oh margobird, now I've put my foot in it... forgot you have eye trouble and I'm sure you know I meant that figuratively.... I don't see too well myself these days, very short sighted so always peering at things in shops, but you just have to get on with it, don't you! Sorry about that, but I know you will take such a joke from me.
Have a nice big screen here to watch all the goings on, but have to take a break from it sometimes when I get to absorbed, or its very tiring on the eyes. (enjoy the tennis!)
Well, we're just home from Aviemore. popped into LG twice over the weekend and guess what, missed Odin on both occassions. Oh well next year!!!. The centre was mobbed on both visits and the electrics seemed to be working fine. Was glad of the wall heater on Saturday morning. All was well on the nest and Odin doing what he does best - just not when I was there.
