Hi everyone. Tired from long day; just saw LOTL blog and not sure I can watch the cam. :-(
Off to check out previous posts.
Good morning auntie and so sorrry to read about your Mum. Hospitals can do so much more nowadays and hopefully your Mum will regain the use of fingers and the speech will improve.

Hello aquilareen next visit to the dentist is in December so hopefully nothing will need doing then. My dentist is very good and never does work just for the sakeof it but with the proviso that if anything crops up with a tooth is he suspect about I only have to call him and it will be dealt with.
We are lucky to have Wimbledon on constant tap from 12.00 until 9.30 somethines. Trouble is watching ospreys and trying to see tennis and football gets a bit difficult at times.
Good morning dibnlib know what you mean about bank loan proportions. I just had a filling but it is a wing and a prayer job as it is mostly filling and dentist said I will probably need a crown. I am being wary about eating anything that could drag a filling out now.
Thanks to all for all the chat and news.
We went to see Joe Longhorne last night and what a multi-talented man he is. His impressions are second to none, especially the Shirley Bassey one, but he has a wonderful voice and anyway and every song he signs is sung with such feeling. Great sense of humour and plays the pianot well. Went for an Italian meal before show in one of our favourite places so all in all a good evening. The only downside is I didn't get my evening fix of ospreys, still can't have everything.
Alan just to let you know much to our surprise we did get a free liquer after our meal. All the staff are Italinan and had accepted the fact very well that they were out of the World Cup. The concensus was that the team and manager were too old and they needed some fresh talent.
Afternoon all,
Margobird : Glad you had a nice evening and you managed to get a free liquer despite Italy being out of the World Cup. It is good that they took their defeat graciously.
Auntie : Sorry about your mum and I hope that she is better soon. I know what you mean about the football as Scotland as well as Finland did not qualify for the finals. It is also a surprise that Scotland have such a good tennis player as Andy Murray as tennis was never played much when I lived there.
Today we have been to Barnwell Country park looking for kingfishers, there were none but I did take a pic of this cute mallard duckling:
Alan that mallard duckling is so cute.
Afternoon all Auntie sorry to hear about your mother and hope she make a full recovery. Just heard on the news that a red kite has been found dead on a wind farm in Ross and Cromarty and all the indications are it has been hit by one of the blades.
Been having a cleaning day today as I have more time to myself now that BiL is in the local hospital but we have been told he will be in hospital for at least another two weeks as they try to build up his weight. Also been preparing a sweet and sour chicken to have tonight along with a nice glass of wine.
Going up to see son next friday so will call in at LG on road up and then call in again on road back home maybe will be there when they tag the juveniles will keep my fingers crossed.
Hope we don't all have to visit opticians for cross eye syndrome trying to keep up with watching ospreys, football and tennis.

Hello and thank you to all for your entertaining and informative posts!
Auntie - So sorry to hear about your Mum, hope that she will make a good recovery xx
Dentist bills, aargh !!!!! Two letters on my desk asking me to make an appointment. Unfortunately have to pay total cost, could go on a holiday for what it costs to keep my ageing teeth going. (See below!)
OG Finally got the golden syrup but baking the gingerbread will have to wait, sadly. We are off on holiday on Monday and I haven't even started packing-----
Re the blueberries/bilberries - up here we call them blaeberries and they grow in abundance in the wild. OH always says that he knows when the blaeberries are ripe because the birdie poo landing on our paths etc is purpleish blue (Not joking, it really is !)
Sorry that I have missed others by name, but hope that you all have a great osprey watching week - our hotel has a couple of internet terminals so if I can get away with it I will be logging on at some point each day. OSPEYITIS OR WHAT?? Beats hanging around a pool any day as far as I am concerned----
ANNETTE author is Peter James, not PD James and the book title "Dead Like you"
Don't like HM's black courts either, but at least the hats are now very stylish.
To follow is a pic of yours truely in a canoe at Loch Insh
AUNTIE sorry to hear about your Mum, Hope she continues to improve.
Glad Andy Murray is thro, and don't worry about the footie Scotland didn't get through either, or Wales or Ireland. Love the tennis but can't be bothered with football.
