Hi everyone. Tired from long day; just saw LOTL blog and not sure I can watch the cam. :-(

Off to check out previous posts.

  • Good morning original goldfinch  I do love tennis but I am torn between LG, LOtL and the tennins.  Gets difficult trying to watch all.  I will be watching to see if this marathon match will finally end.  Widh I had one half of their energy.  I doubted OH when he said they wouldn't finish last night but he was right.

Purse still not happy about the dental expenses but NHS dentists are a rate breed in this area.

Glad you enjoyed your day yesterday.

  • Hi Annette that was the cost for both of us but still smarting over the expense.  I will not be eating anything that is likely to disturb any fillings or break any teeth from now on I can assure you.

  • Oooh!   - cute as cute can be, Diane!

Emma Peel:   Happy Birthday.   Have a lovely day, and hope you can have a 'day off' for a change, as it sounds rather busy in your world at the moment!

  • wimbledon starts in 10 mins, Andy Murray's match is first on I think so hope he manages a respectable bow! Did any of you watch that epic yesterday, and still not finished? I should imagine audience, linesmen,(or should that be linespeople) ballboys and girls, umpire, never mind the players were past exhaustion.

  • Right - I'm back and going to try to reply to as many posts as possible, so here goes!

margobird:  Sorry that you had to shell out so much at the dentist, it seems to be the same over much of the country, no NHS ones in some areas so very expensive now. Still, it makes such a difference if your teeth are looked after, even if its a boring thing to pay for.  I didn't see the marathon tennis match, but heard about it on the news --- are they MAD!  my Uncle said "they'll all have heart attacks, in this heat!"... & its not over yet, either....     You put us all to shame by doing the housework so early (memo to self, must try that sometime, I always seem to be behind with things even before I start bird/tennis watching.)

AQ:    Glad the hairdo is sorted, and the dinner sounds divine!  Do tell us, later, when you have the Wedding, all about the Day.  Going to look on the Web for news of your new PM.  We all started having ice-cream making here, up and down the country, when the farmers needed extra income and started looking at cheese making etc. - we also have one farm nearby to us who has goats and makes special yogurts.

OG:   Hope the trip goes well, sounds a long way for you to go.

Annette:   We have a sort of 'media cabinet' thingy where the video/disc player lurks, and we also have Cable, so that's another thing to find room for... < sigh >  we try to keep it to a minum to avoid clutter, but you have to have these things to keep up with how things are done now. Bought a new flat screen last year & very pleased with it.  Don't know about a "Great Room" - never heard of that one!  We call ours a Sitting Room as that's what it is, where we sit at the end of the day and just flop. (quite often drop off to sleep, too....) Keep trying to dry Buzz's 4th foot first, but he still doesn't seem to understand the idea at all.......

Off to see Murray now, he said he would bow to the Queen who is coming to Wimbledon for the 1st time since the 1970's, don't know why she suddenly decided to come, the younger Royals usually do the honours....

  • Afternoon dibnlib  I watched and wondered how on earth they could play like there were for such a long time.  I was exhausted just watching them.  Not back on court till after 3.30 as they must need a bit of respite after that marathon.  Will be watching Andy Murray and intested to see whether he will bow as they have relaxed the rules about this.

  • Her Majesty has just arrived at Wimbledon... she looks summery in a nice blue suit with blue and white trim hat... she looks so tiny when standing next to all the tall ex athletes who are invited to sit in the Royal Box--- Murray and his opponent did a well rehearsed half bow when they came onto court. (notice that Prince Philip is not accompanying the Queen, don't think he likes tennis.)

  • Afternoon all,

Margobird : I hope you enjoy the show and the Italian meal tonight. Lets hope the Italians win at the footie this afternoon and you may get some free drinks.

Scotland and England are very much 2 different countries especially when it comes to football.

Cant believe that Murray would bow to the Queen. He has gone down in my estimation. Still hope he wins though.

This morning took Lady P to the doctors. It appears she has an ear infection and is on antibiotics. Also went to Tesco which was annoying as usual. All chores done now so can relax and enjoy ospreys , footie and tennis.

Emma Peel: Happy birthday and I hope you have a great day.

Weather dry but cloudy now . temps : 21.5c
