Hi everybody,
Its been another eventful day, Odin has been a great dad and provided for his family as usual
Chicks are getting more adventurous in the nest.
EJ being a wonderful mum. Intruder has been about again but has been sent packing.
At the moment EJ is trying to rest but the youngsters keep wriggling about so disturb her.
Happy viewing, see you all in the morning.

Quick comfort break for EJ and now she is calling, con't know if she can see Odin or whether she is trying to shift the chicks so she can get that fish.

Thanks go to everyone for the scale by scale commentary of this mornings events. Also thanks to Tiger for reminding us of Odins ode. EJ must be thinking "looks like we need a bigger nest".

It is funny to watch them sleeping on the fish with their wings over it! Was that no 1 chick having a go at EJ??
I have to go out shortly ... I hope she manages to get that fish soon ... or that someone gets a pic of it!

EJ nonchalantly standing on one leg and preening ... but she keeps glancing at that fish!
Titch was looking at the fish as if to say, hmm not sure what to do with this, then laid down on it and I think it was No1 ValC that went for EJ's beak when she tried to get it, because he thought she was feeding him.
Edit: since I have just predicted No 1 is a female I should have said SHE thought EJ was feeding HER.
It's hard to tell which is which when you haven't been keeping a close eye on them. I think she's trying to distract them now.

EJ fixing her beady eye on 'the fish' - quite comical really!
EJ now standing on the stick at the side ... pretending she doesn't care!
Poor EJ! Trying to food solicit now, from her own chicks!
- can someone please let us know what happened next, as I have to go out !
It isn't so hard to tell them apart when they are all standing up but the one that was having a go at EJ was the only one standing at the time I think. They are growing soooo fast. It is the one with the darkest feathers too, I think. I remember Nethy used to do that to EJ too. Don't remember them doing that so much last year.
