Hi everyone, been an eventful day, 7 fish in all, chicks have been eating all they can and are getting bigger by the day.
All peaceful on the nest and EJ looks to be getting some sleep.
Happy watching, see you in the morning.

Cirrus - fair shares all round ... and very civilised ... I thought there might be a little bullying if they were very hungry ... but no!

Morning Margobird - I'm not sure about the size, as EJ already had the fish when I came through after hearing all the excitement on the nest! However the feed lasted about 15 minutes so it must have been a decent enough size.
The chicks look huge this morning. They can move around the nest much better now too. Can't wait to see them in a couple of weeks.
Morning Valc -you are right about them moving better ... I just saw #1 carry a small stick around the nest! Lucky you if you are going to LG!
Know more about mammal development than birds, but I would think that, although they need a lot to eat now, they can sustain themselves better between feeds now they are bigger - their gut will be longer so the food will travel further and they will absorb more goodness from each feed. None of them is showing any sign of being undernourished, so we do not need to worry.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Agreed Djoan - a 15 minute fish indeed !!! It had to be a large size . Thank you. And to you Margobird. Relief all round. Oh Valc - simply spendid - it will be a year or two before I can get there, sigh.
Thanks for the good news. I missed it all.
EJ and the chicks have all been preening in the sunshine - and #3 was very interested in what was over the side of the nest!
Mmm. I'm impressed OG and shall remember that valuable piece of info
Intruder alert ... EJ calling and mantling ... #1 chick is very interested and watching intently ... other 2 chicks are playing dead!
