Hi everyone, been an eventful day, 7 fish in all, chicks have been eating all they can and are getting bigger by the day.
All peaceful on the nest and EJ looks to be getting some sleep.
Happy watching, see you in the morning.

Just back from a week away, and I'm amazed at how they've grown!

Thanks for the reminder Cirrus. Perhaps some others are of the right generation to remember this version of the cuckoo poem? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lO9Ild2cvdg
No fish yet? Oh Dear. Poor Odin is probably diving and missing, then, in the fog mentioned earlier.
Nice to hear Simon & Garfunkel again, thanks, SueC.
Odin may not have left to go fishing until the fog lifted.
He doesn't come equipped with "Fog lanterns" and we wouldn't want any mid air collisions over the water with other fishing Osprey LOL

As a young child in the 1950s I learnt:
The Cuckoo comes in April
He sings his song in May
In June he changes his tune
And in July he flies away.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Page 5 already and no fish.
I enjoyed hearing Simon & Garfunkle Sue C. Thanks.
Just logged on. No fish then yet
EJ standing guard at the edge of the nest , the family are sleeping at the moment, but a little fidgity.
SueC re S &G - that takes me back- but also to very sad memories . How emotive that 'sound' is for me. I'll go get my first coffee of the day now and cheer up :) :) (don't you dare feel badly about mentioning them and posting the link !!!! )
Anyone else concerned about Odin?
Quick look-in, having peeled vegies. Oh dear. Where is Odin. Fingers & toes crossed he will be here soon. I'm surprised the chicks are not complaining loudly.
She seems to be waiting patiently - Odin has probably gone fishin now, the fog seems to have lifted.
