Morning everyone and welcome to a new week! Last week's Weekly Chat ended with some interesting entries and very interesting links (wonderful pix of swan giving cygnets a ride, courtesy of Lindybird, and, thanks very much Alan; another perspective on those oil-covered pelicans - good news too!). OG: Not rushing and dashing; kids are here and headed to bed early for ultra-early departure. Margobird: Thanks for update on Hope and Lily.
Gather USA/England draw was result of bungle by England goalkeeper?
I think the webcam problem may have been at Diane's end since neither I nor AQ or Barbara Jean seem to have had problems, but Diane's alternative option is a good one for future reference. All a bit odd. Just in case no-one is following the Daily Update, Odin delivery two huge trout within 10 minutes of each other this morning!
Morning, All. Overslept today :-o
Had a funny night, with dreams that make you wake and turn over... yuk. So Husband left me in bed to sleep it off. All OK now, just behind with everything!
Hope that Gary and Diane can sort out their computer problems.
Dull skies but we are promised sunshine later, and its quite warm so will be able to wear a cotton top to go to lunch with Friend today. Will try to have a salad even though the Garden Centre does wonderful pie (with chips!).
Have a Good Day, All. (E J should have a good day, those chicks are already completely stuffed..)
Thursday already, and another fine day.
Patriciat – sorry about your bird feeder – I hope you get it fathomed soon.
AQ – enjoy your lovely autumn rain – and just a “gentle reminder” – DON’T FORGET TO MAKE THAT DENTIST APPOINTMENT! So we have another reason (as if we needed one) to protect whales.
Diane – you sound pleased with progress in your cleaning mission! Sorry you were having trouble viewing the webcam, but well-done finding a way around it.
Must get things underway – man coming to look at kitchen doors this morning.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Lindybird - thought I was ahead of you today, but you snuck in while I typed - again! Have a good lunch out with your friend - and don't buy too many new plants at the garden centre!!
No, OG - Got my eye on some solar lights to light up the water feature! (ours, by the way, is so tiny you could miss it, but it does add a bit of something to the atmosphere.)
Morning ALL. The sun is just trying to peep out from behind the clouds but still windy.
Thanks for concern about my ankle. The pain kept me awake most of the night but it is not nearly as bad this morning. Foot just swollen and bruised. Just sitting this morning, with my feet up, while OH is being very attentive. May get used to this.
I must catch up with previous chat. It took a while to read all the early reports on the Daily Page.
Good morning Lindybird have a nice lunch and hope the sun comes out for you.

No worried Lindybird as I did want to know what had happended to her, very sad but at least the male is going well bringing food in for them.
Good morning Brenda pleased OH is being very attentive. Take it easy won't you. Such happy news about fish deliveries this morning, took me ages to read through the daily chat.
Thanks to all for entertaining posts, always appreciated.
Morning all - beautiful here - sunny and warm!
Thanks for all the great chat etc
Brenda - glad your OH is looking after you - spin it out as long as you can :-))
Lindybird - yes ... I think those baking powder boats were free with cereals ... cornflakes probably!
Out for luch today with a friend I haven't seen for 18 months, so lots of catching up to do ... glad its warm so I will feel more like a salad and not chips!!
Take care all
Joan - avid bird and nature watcher in Northumberland!
