Quite windy at LG at the moment. EJ managing just to keep all chicks warm.
Odin delivered 6/7 fish, not quite sure. Fairly uneventful except for the times when the chicks were scoffing their food. Makes for amusing watching
Happy watching to all early morning viewers
Strange sounds coming through the mike, sounds like firecrackers going off, hope its not shooting in any way or form. Could be the sound of fireworks. Certainly got EJ listening and watching something.

Has anyone else seen/heard that strange bird buzzing the nest?

What on earth is the intruder which keeps calling and flying above the nest? EJ is clearly not happy and neither are the chicks.
What's th ibtruder which keeps overflying the nest? EJ is clearly unhappy. And everything is happening so slowly on here tonight.
It's been bad since lunchtime, patriciat - I have now guessed that it could be to do with lots of people being on here to do the June Garden Bird Count, and logging in to fill in their findings today.
I heard the strange bird - think EJ is just annoyed by it, but not threatened. I'm not sure what it is.
Lindybird I've seen it two or three times flying right over EJ's head. I don'y recognise the call at all but think it must be a raptor of some kind. Hope it's smaller than EJ
All looks quiet, chicks resting, EJ looking around seems to be watching something.
Just had a look in after watching the football and all seems pretty peaceful at the moment:
If EJ's head droops any lower as she nods off it'll land on a fluffy osprey pillow:

Like Lynette, I was hoping there might be a sixth fish before dark. But, not all fishing trips are successful and Odin has really done his very best. The chicks are not wittering, that’s the important thing for peace on the nest. EJ looks to be taking 40 winks since she can get them . Hopefully it won’t rain cos there can’t possibly be any sleep to be had with three wriggling chicks under her.
Total fish tally today then is five and a half, right? Oh, come on – let’s call it six. Odin must have been hungry this morning to eat half the fish and he certainly deserves it.
All this talk about an intruder – haven’t been following too closely today but I expect you’d recognise a Buzzards cry, right? So not a Buzzard then. It might have been a Raven – they sort of give a croaky ‘honk’ ??
Anyway, I’m off to bed now, really tired . Good night everyone and hello Annette and Gary, AQ and Wattle when you arrive.
Still quiet, gone to night vision. Chicks having a wriggle and EJ's trying to keep them warm. It looks like two of them are heads under, bottoms out.
