Such is the chaos the Ying Tong cyber attack has caused that I only just noticed there was no new Weekly Chat! I don't know how much opportunity we'll get to post on this new thread but at least we can all curse the perpetrators en masse!
Happy New Week!
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Reminds me of the Goons song..:-)
It seemed the most appropriate name!
Good Afternoon all. I think it is safe to post now.

I've decided to sign in - seems to have accepted me.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Well me too. According to the "Cyper attack" thread it was fixed very quickly. No idea how they do this stuff.....
ROSY: Cat no thread - apparently - to Towhees. But they sure are bold little birds. I can get quite close to them before they take off, and then they don't go far.
DIBNLIB: Am working my way through Peter Robinson's books in order of publication. Still a way to go before his latest.
Back later; take care all.
Super Blue tit leaves the nest box
Should have thanked CLARE for starting this thread on Sunday - I got carried away with possible threats. So, thanks CLARE!
Welcome back, ALL who find their way here again!
Thank you, also from me, Clare. I decided not to risk my computer.
A very mixed weather day here. Sunny intervals, heavy hailstones and then a thunderstorm at 5pm with torrential rain. Sunny with a threatening sky again now.
A lovely pic Alan.
Hooray! We're back!
Sunny today, got some gardening done. Been sorting yet more things out for charity. Have been trying to find anyone who would want some 1960s vinyl records! Saw an advert in the supermarket from someone who wanted that kind of thing, and gave him a ring: he came on Saturday and sorted through them, to take the Beatles ones and one or two similar. I told him I had bought them myself when they were released, and had looked after them carefully. (Some of them had "Fab!!" written on the covers, in my handwriting, though!, LOL!!) He was a private collector, not a dealer.
He gave me a ten pound note, but mainly I was pleased that they had gone to a good home, rather than just anywhere. The rest of them are in a bag, awaiting the charity shop. I gave a record player I had to sis-in-law, as we had already copied the vinyl we liked most, to digital.
