Hi everyone and especially to Annette in SoCal - have posted a last note that I was starting new thread, hope that helps.
As you can guess, its raining or has been raining and EJ is soaked but managing to keep the wee ones undercover. I'm not sure how many fish were delivered yesterday but there were a few.
Rain seems to have eased and EJ is having a little stretch at the moment.
Happy watching to all of you around the globe. See you in the morning.

I think Odin is supposed to be leaving that fish he just brought in, so that EJ can feed the chicks when the rain eases off, instead he is eating it ! EJ does not sound pleased :-))

I dont remember EJ allowing Odin to eat a fish on the nest before. It just shows how well fed the chicks have been today.
This is oddly compelling - I've not seen this happen before. Odin is resolutely not going to leave the fish unless EJ gets it off him. She won't do that unless it stops raining. We have an impasse.
EJ and Odin in the gloaming:
Sandy - I'm just so plaesed you captured that scene - just mentioned it on the weekly thread.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
It looks like Odin is going to win. There can't be much of that fish left and the rain has started to come down heavier again.
He did plump up the cushions before he left!

That was all a little bizarre. Odin got fed up of waiting for EJ, scoffed the fish and was off.
Rain set in for the night, I fear.
thanks everyone. I was watching Odin eating on the nest and couldn't stop watching!
Hi. Just popped in before bed to see how EJ is getting on - I thought it might be raining again (and it is).
More intruder alerts! Thanks to All for pics and links. Might know that EJ would be able to withstand anyone threatening the nest. Hope she can have a peaceful night now, even if a bit damp.
