EJ is having a funny moment. Chicks tucked under her.
Happy watching, back in the morning.

18.40 and EJ making the most of a short break in the rain to feed the 3 chicks from the left over fish already on the nest. All getting fed.

Titch at the front again !!
Finishing off that last fish, despite the rain:
Titch started off at the back then he moved to the end, but it turned out to be the beginning of the line for food, very clever!

EJ now spread out over the chicks, trying to keep them dry -that rain has not really stopped at all for ages now. Funny little mutterings coming from underneath her, as the chicks have a little chunner.
EJ's been for a little fly round, now back and feeding those insatiable little masked bandits in her nest.
Only Eldest got the feed though. EJ needed to finish off the tail bit . I 'm sure Odin will bring in a new supper fish and the other two will get their share. It's gone remarkably well, so far.
I assume that most recent feed was leftovers - looked more like EJ was trying to chew through a lump of laether - maybe the tough skin of an old Pike I suppose - but not much of it was suitable for the little ones.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Not a good forecast for the next few days and a North wind mid week.
