All peaceful at LG just now.Paul.

No 3 chick not in a good mood. Just had a peck at No 2 who submitted immediately.
Bees are buzzing around the microphone: EJ is still preening (one of the chicks managed to douse her with poo earlier): can hear Mr. Cuckoo again.
Can't believe your reports that Odin has been back again with NO FISH!! - get going, Mr. fisherman!
I am sure he went fishing after the cold response he got from EJ when he arrived with just the moss.
I could almost hear EJ saying " Building up the nest cup can wait. We need to eat!!"

Lovely family scene. EJ on the alert looking all around her, whether she can see something, not sure, but is keeping a watch. Chicks are having a morning nap.

Good morning all and thanks to the night shift and also thanks for the glorious pics of EJ and chicks sitting in the sun. How good it is that the weather has at long last improved and best of all barely a breath of wind. Can see Odin has already delivered a fish but EJ is wanting more and sending him packing when he arrives with moss for the nest but no fish. It should be easier for him today.
Though I would post the following quote from an a now elderly American lady who has lived a very full and active life, travelled widely, been a journalist in her younger days and also writes books. I know we all think as we get older our memory is not so good but her thoughts on this put a different slant on things.
Asked how she feels about ageing, she retorts:-
"Growing older - that's not part of my scheme! You are what age you are. People worry about getting forgetful, but it's becuase our brains are overloaded with the knowledge we have gained!" Now when OH comments that I am getting a bit forgetful I have a classic answer.
Margobird
EJ is having a good wash and brush up. The chicks keep moving around the nest a little
I think EJ is waiting for Odin to come back with a fish.
Like it Margobird about the quote. Thats why I get forgetful sometimes is it. Must remember that.

Thanks Margo, I must remember that. Our son and his wife are arriving later and staying a couple of days. I am sure I will find a time to use it.
EJ and chicks still waiting quietly.
EJ just flown off for a break, chicks are beginning to wake up and look around. #1 chick having a bit of a preen and is trying to settle again.#2 wriggiing and #3 seems asleep.
In flies EJ again and promptly starts to move the furniture around. No sign of Odin yet.
One of the chicks is trying to climb out of the nest, all three are awake, probably waiting for THAT FISH which is elusive.
