Hi everyone.
EJ has just fed the chicks again and is now settling them down for the night.
What a day it has been, high drama this afternoon with the intruder about, but Odin and EJ defended superbly.
Chicks have been well fed despite the windy conditions for fishing. I think there was a total of 5 fish? Perhaps someone can correct that if I'm wrong.
Happy watching to those who carry on through our night. Goodnight, sleeptight EJ and family.

Snap, Cirrus. No one has been shouting yet, but as I write I can hear EJ starting to food call, so maybe just maybe, he's caught another one.....
Glad I didn't imagine it:) Here one can see the chick doing some serious stick-biting

Must have been wishful thinking on EJ's part, as no Odin arrived yet. she is still preening in the wind, the chicks are staying in the warmest part of the nest.
The eldest is so much darker than the other two now . What a wind !!
Glad you got a pic of it, auntie. Don't remember such behaviour last year, this is going to be an interesting summer, alright, with such personalities on the nest !! Such strong characters, all of them.
afternoon all. Great blow by blow accounts and captures as always, thanks.
That is really blowing there. EJ hanging on by the talons and the chicks hunkered down out of the wind.
Where is that dratted boy with our fish, then ??
Odin came for a visit, didn't see any fish.
Thanks Gary: went to hang out my washing, then came back to this on the still cam:
Good afternoon and jst back from dentist with the news that I need a little bit of work done in a couple of weeks time. Now at last after a few days of not being able to watch for long I can settle down and watch all afternoon.
Thanks to all for the pics and feed times. These little ones are coming on so well and look so well fed. Odin managed 5 fish yesterday even with that dreadful wind. What wonderful parents EJ and Odin are. EJ a wonderful Mum making sure each chick gets fed, and I just love to watch Titch who seems to have worked everything out on how to get to the front or in the middle thus ensurig he/she gets fed. Odin came for a quick visit just now but no fish but hopefully he has gone away to catch one now.
Now going to catch up with other posts, weekly and otherwise s there are 100 emails waiting to be looked at in between watching the nest.
Have a good afternoon all.
