Ej is resting and trying to keep the chicks warm but they are getting quite big now and it makes it harder for her to keep them under her breast at night..
At least now she seems to be catching a quick nap.

And EJ finishes off the tail.
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
They are learning fast, they seemed to know when she reached the tail and started eating it herself, that there would be no more food. Here they are lined up:
--now she is sitting on them again.

Thanks everyone.
So much happens in the 2 hours it takes me to sort out the horses! Great reports.
Still so windy.
All seems quiet now and EJ seems to be enjoying a few quiet moments.
EJ now calling and I think I can hear Odin calling back. Perhaps he is nearby with another fish. Doesn't look as though she is worried about an intruder.

EJ took off for a comfort break, now back and talking quietly to the chicks. Love the way they all hunkered down while she was gone. Survival instinct kicking in.
EJ took a break, came back, started calling and preening. Is now calling quite intensly now.
EJ gone off again, could she be wanting Odin to bring in some food.
Back she comes, it must have been a comfort break. Proceeds to move a large stick to edge of the nest. One of the little ones just ............ all of them now thinking its feed time but no fish on the menu yet.
Hi everyone - great pics I have to say - many thanks DJoan and Lindybird and Sandy . I can't seem to read many fish delivered . Just one !! That can't be right so what have I missed please? It's just gone 4 pm and I'm wondering if anyone has made a fish count today? Any idea how many fish have been delivered to the nest today so far please? Thanks
