Believe it or not contrary to popular belief, I have been known sleep. LOL
I'm quite sure Odin has delivered six fish today.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
"Barbara Jean: an hour or so ago #3 started a fight with #1! It soon regretted it as #1 is twice its size and it ended up getting a quick battering".
I recall Garten taking a few pokes at Rothes who quickly put her in her place LOL
I guess they each figure it can't hurt to try for dominance .
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
OMG one chick climbed out of the nest cup
Now EJ has gathered all of them under her for their nap . They are making their " happy & full crop " clucking sound
EJ adopts an unusual method of screening the chicks from the sun:
Goode afternoon all just managing a quick peek and thanks for all the pics and so lovely to see EJ and chicks in sunshine. EJ doing a grand job of keeping them sheltered. 6 fish already from Odin no wonder they are growing so fast.
Margobird
One chick out of the nest cup again!. EJ is trying to coral it back into the nest cup with her feet LOL
Goodness! really? six fish ?? ! No wonder they are so quiet now. Just came on to see EJ having a walk around the nest. Here are the (stuffed) chicks:
---this one is of EJ taking a hard look at the chicks, then deciding that as they are so feisty, she had better build up the defences. She has a couple of goes at moving this large branch but then gives up and decides its strong enough after all.
Really, Barbara Jean ? I didn't see that as was writing the above, but now that explains it - I did see one of them trying to escape earlier.
Who are you looking at ?? I'm doing my best, you know, but these chicks are a real handful !

Lindybird look at the last picture you posted above and the little rascal on the right next to EJ 's feet is the escapee LOL
EJ is checking the strength of the fence to be sure it will hold them back. She knows it is just a matter of a day or two before they are all out of the nest cup wandering around on the nest
