Pitch dark on the nest right now, but can make out EJ.
EJ calling. One of the chicks trying to join in.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
I heard wings & came in to find EJ standing on the side of the nest- I think she just had a comfort fly around, but it must have been swift. Here she is checking on the chicks before settling down again:
Another fly around - this time the chicks were left dozing in the sun, but tried to lift their heads when she returned:
What a lovely picture ... EJ preening on the nest, chicks full of food dozing in the sun ... a welcome change from the last couple of days!

At least one of them is shouting again!
(Another headless EJ - she is preening contentedly in the sun while the chick shouts)
Here she is again....
----then she flies off again, but returns in seconds, so I'm unable to catch the nest without her!
Mornning all.
Just logged on to find EJ preening and the chicks enjoying some rare sunshine. It looks a tranquil family scene at the moment, sun shining, radio chaffinch singing away and the family looking content, alls well with the world.
LOTL also basking in early morning sunshine.and Lady doing the same as EJ.
Cloudy, overcast day here in Northants.
Meant to say also, thanks Heron77 and Lindybird for the lovely pics.
