I'm wondering if we've had a time lapse catch up, as that fish wasn't there when EJ settled, and the last feed I saw the chicks get was from an almost tail fin.

Found it - at 1706hr there was a freeze, when it recovered EJ was in a different position and the fish was revealed a few minutes later under her tail - so that must have been a stop-and-catch-up :-/

I've also been looking at the 'item' that EJ removed from the nestcup - I can't see that it's a bird, and can 'improve' it no better than this - where it almost looks like a curled dried leaf :o
