Hi all. Just starting this 'coz going out to birthday dinner with OH tonight (Indian - his choice). Back to catch up with last week's final posts later, (which included a great photo from OG's trip).
jsb : Perhaps we should collect the ones shed on this forum from time to time and send them off to you. LOL
I have been trying to post this pic of Bodnant Gardens taken last week. Success at last.
Spectacular colour against the backdrop of trees!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Lovely pic of Bodnant Gardens Alan, looked like a glorious day too.

Alan I think between us we could manage quite a few bottles especially after the happy outcome with Hope and Lily. jsb would have a supply for life.
Morning all: Oh dear. A good news, not so good news morning. Fabulous that Lily and Hope have reunited. I bet their folks will be keeping closer than usual watch on them, if that's possible. But Trucker Steve has blogged that he's not well and waiting to find out what his company wants to do wtih his load. I read last night that he had bad allergies; let's hope there's something a doc can prescribe that won't make him drowsy (assuming it's allergies). Must be horrible to be sick on the road and stuck in a truck stop....
Bad news about dead computer; good news that Alan sheds a manly tear. Bravo Alan!
Off for an early breakfast with daughter; back later.
Things are seriously seriously bad. I have had to switch on the iron.

Heather B that is seriously bad. I too have been ironing and doing jobs which should have been done weeks ago but still watching the stills camera and constantly updating.
Afternoon all. I didn't post yesterday ... OH and I had a day out ... we went to Hauxley Nature Reserve, up the Northumberland coast from here. We had a lovely time sitting in the various hides watching the birds ... no unusual birds, but we were treated to the sight of a heron trying to eat an eel not 10 feet away! He took a good ten minutes to get the poor, wriggling creature inside him. OH took some photographs ... but as usual they are still on his camera :(( ... will post one when he downloads them!
This morning was spent finalising the details of the new kitchen ... it won't happen for a few weeks and will be a major upheaval no doubt, but will be worth it!
I enjoyed reading all the chat ... and looking at your wonderful photographs.
By the way ... the first barn owl egg hatched this morning at the BOT http://www.thewebbroadcastingcorporation.com/barnowlcam_nestcam.html
Take care all.
Joan - avid bird and nature watcher in Northumberland!

Afternoon DjoanS glad you had such a good day out yesterday. I suspect the weather was better than it is today. Good news about the hatch of the first barn owl chick.
