Hi all. Just starting this 'coz going out to birthday dinner with OH tonight (Indian - his choice). Back to catch up with last week's final posts later, (which included a great photo from OG's trip).
Hi Annette Graduation in agility is on the basis of ability - dogs have to win a certain number of classes at one level to move up to the next. Tweed moved to his current grade as the result of a win on Easter Tuesday which gave him the correct number. Numbers of rosettes depend on the generosity of the organisers! There were 6 per class on Saturday.
Hope for Hope - report dated 23rd: Lily eventually retiurned to the Red Pine where she had left the cub and is apparently looking to find her.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Hello All: Cloudy here today and not so hot as the weekend. We are off out for the day so I hope to catch up with you later. Meanwhile here is this week's 'smile' (it will be the last one as I have no more, so if anyone has any pics/jokes you're welcome to keep this up if you like):
HAVE A GOOD DAY, ALL !!
OH is out, taking his false teeth plate for repair, so I shall get started on reading through last 36 hours and get up-to-date (till next time). Annette – great word-picture of the Jacuzzi removal! I do hope you get the seat upgrade for your OH’s birthday present. Thanks for asking about Son’s job – he is happy to be doing what he feels called to do, working with young people, but is struggling with a person who acts like manager even though someone else was appointed to be his line manager, and I think he is still finding working difficult after so long unemployed, and also combining it with housekeeping after his time with his sister. Hope others have cleared up the scarifier definition for you – nothing to do with scaring, but scarifying is scraping or scratching! Weather – pressure decreasing, humidity increasing = ?thunder?? Sorry about your tree – I hope it can be saved. AQ – good to read that your M-i-L was well enough to return to care home from hospital. Patriciat - a hot weekend for dog trials – don’t blame young Indy hiding in the tunnel – but well done Tweed in his higher class. Dibnlib – saw Battle of Britain flight at Coningsby some years ago – a practice flight (they don’t do so many because Lancaster is nearing the end of its flying life) and then kept Lancaster up for a few circuits before we saw it land, get checked over then turned to go in the hanger – took loads of photos, but all on film camera, not digital. OH recorded Country File as usual – will have to think about watching it. Emma – as others advise, enjoy your summer! Imagining you in mac, umbrella and sunglasses all together (but I hope you won’t need the first two in Turkey!). Brenda – congrats on the ERNIE wins – two of this group getting prizes so close, has it just woken up or something? Sandy – thanks for describing scarifier for Annette – but don’t get the impression ours is a fine lawn – its just slightly improved meadowland – but we do get moss problems.
Hey – I caught up!! Here is another hol pic – waiting for a picnic at Chanonry – hope that isn’t Dibnlib’s chip pan smoking across the water!!
Good morning everyone ... not nearly as warm here today .. 17C instead of 25c yesterday ... but still sunny and very pleasant.
I wrote a long post yesterday thanking various people for pics, chat, links etc ... and promptly lost the whole @*&%$* lot as I went to press 'post'. I was so hot and uncomfortable sitting here at the computer I couldn't be bothered to re-write it .... SO ... if you posted over Sat/Sun ... count yourself thanked!!
OG - I have enjoyed reading about your holiday and your lovely photographs ... sounds like some lovely places you visited.
I see the camera is down, so its off into the garden to do some'pottering'.
Take care
Joan - avid bird and nature watcher in Northumberland!

OG glad you enjoyed the lemon curd that you bought at Loch Leven Larder. I have been keeping up to date with all the chat but its been fairly quite in my neck of the woods recently. My BiL is eventually going to have his pre-op examination on friday and then hopefully his operation will be the following wednesday. Son and his wife return from their holiday on wednesday so will have to go and pick them up as they are staying with me for a few days before going home so I will have to have a cleaning day tomorrow. Glad all those who have been on holiday have enjoyed them.

Welcome back Alan a bit late I know but we went to see Hairsrpay Saturday afternoon and a my Great Nephew Ryhs was christened yesterday and what a lovely day we had for it as well.
Lovely picture of the heron. I saw one on Saturday on the river we pass over on our way to Southampton and it was so still it looked like a statue.
Been out to have my regular eye check up this morning and was looking forward to coming back to see EJ, Odin and family but cam is down so will use the time to catch up with all the blogs.
Sad start to my day, one of our neighbours cats caught a baby bluetit which I think had fallen from the nest box. It looked very underdeveloped and I suspect there might have been something wrong with it anyway. Couldn't save it as it was too far gone poor little mite. Fortunately I have seen the rest fledge and I think this was the last one. the parents are still coming back to the nest box wondering where it has gone. very sad to watch.

Just want to say thanks to all for pics and links and I am so sad to read about Hope and just hope Lily will find her. Still trying to catch up but will get there eventually.
Still very hot here, but not complaining. Just trying to cool down indoors.
George, I hope all goes well for your B-I-L and he can, at last,, have his operation.
Annette, I hope there is a way to save your tree. I must admit I do keep a careful eye on the trees these days, after seeing trees fall onto neighbours houses on two separate occasions. Not mentioning the ' hurricane' and the devastation then.
I am also hoping for good news of Lily and Hope.
LG cam up and running.
