Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
But sadly, not doing a very god job. It's just great though. Just so long as they all get some fish.
Hallo Hallo. Hurray! What a lovely day this has turned out to be - missed all the feeding due to conference with contractor - but great news to come back to.
Lindybird: As you said, I will remember this day too - very, very special.
Soosin: Since I haven't been here every year, found "first thing out of the nest...." quote very original and hilarious. But i'm feeling a tad giddy today.
OG: Have been on so many threads this last couple of days/nights, never know where I am (not even sure which planet I'm on today). I too am scared to hope too much, but grateful for today at any rate.
Emma: 24-hour flu perhaps? Who knows?
Sheryl: Welcome - what a great time to join in the chat.
Tiger; Thanks for the Daily Record and STV links. Loved it that the TV media was on hand at such a turn in the story!
Goodnight all you UK folks. It's only 2:20 p.m. here, so the overseas night shift will be keeping our collective eyes on Lady (well, as much as we can with that pesky branch still blocking our view).
Back later.

Barbara Jean what a wonderful sight it is to see Lady eating and feeding her chicks. I will go to bed tonight feeling much relieved for the moment.

Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
Clip from the Finland Forum of the Lady and Laird each feeding a chick:

Talking about dud eggs they had a strange theory on a Dutch peregrine forum. They decided that the Lady was sick because she was trying to lay an egg. Then when she finally laid it (the dud egg that reappeared today) the Lady recovered. This story really has gone far and wide!

Its too dark to tell what is happening now, there was a late night fish delivery which Laird left with Lady who proceeded to feed the chicks and hopefully herself.
At present I can see she is settled with head down, chick/chicks in front of her. Only the morning will tell the story, do hope she goes from strength to strength now. Will look in tomorrow.

Alan: Thanks for the Finland link - really appreciate these since I couldn't access the LOTL site a lot today. Where do you find all these links? (A rhetorical question, but you seem to be so well connected!)
TIger: Having an egg? The way these rumors grow, it'll be triplets tomorrow.

Annette I found it very amusing especially since the evidence was there that she had laid an egg....except it was back in April.
Tiger: Something obviously lost in translation.
