Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.

That's marvellous Sandra, of course you will be able to follow the events up there. We just have to wait for the reports. So pleased for her.

AND when the chicks come and take it off her she immediately went over to the one they left and began to eat that instead!!!! Brilliant, now she is feeding them again.

Hi Linda,
Yes, I know! I do read the blogs and have also been following LG and LoTL avidly the past couple of months. It's just that I don't say much LOL. It's very humbling to see how these birds care for each other. Humans could learn a lot from them, methinks...
Its great isn't it ValC? She is still very unsteady but nobody could have predicted this on Saturday or Sunday. Its absolutely wonderful. We all know that she must be coming to the end of her life. If the average age is eight years and she is in her twenties then its clear that every day is a bonus but like many others I am so happy that she has recovered for now.
it gets said every year but yet again. the first thing out of the nest this year is the handbook/rulebook.
All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy. Spike Milligan
Welome Sheryl from another besotted by osprey person.
Margobird
is she getting another fish out from between twigs. Has she been saving them?
Odin just arrived with a fish
Lynette - at least Sandra had the guts to criticise me personally, albeit publicly, rather than behind my back. I don't know when I have been patronising. All I do is tell it as I see it, the same as anyone else on these Forum Threads! We have different views, and different styles of expressing them - and I thought that was the point of discussions. If we all agreed on every point and expressed it in the same way, there would be no need for communication!
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Lady found the leftover fish and started eating then one chick then the other went over to her and she has been feeding them too.
When I just posted, I couldn't tell which thread I was on!! Are we discussing LotL or LG here now?
