Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
"Away and see your dad, this is mine, I've not eaten for four days" lol

Whatever happens, now to any or all of them, I shall never forget this day as long as I may live, its just been astonishing and amazing, there are no other words for it.
I know I don't post much, but I am totally in awe of these wonderful creatures and the strength that they show in such adversity. Magnificent.
Yes , she is eating, with dad feeding both youguns.
Have you seen Peter's update, He said she glided down to the loch to take a drink, was a bit disorientated finding the nest but did.

It was wonderful to watch her on Scottish news tonight at the Loch drinking. She is a MAGNIFICENT Bird.
And this is what I said earlier this afternoon.
She is absolutely WONDERFUL!!

WOW!!! She was using her wings and they seemed strong OOOOH it looks as if she is testing them to fly!!!!
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Hi Sheryl. We are all besotted with them, they are so special.
This is remarkable but still a way to go yet!!
I shall leave now. bye all.
Marge seemed to having some trouble finding co-ordination and balance to break up the fish, but she definitely took some herself. I only saw her feeding the chick nearest her. The second chick was asking for food. When the male came with the second fish, he looked quite bewildered and seemed to decide it wasn't needed. When he moved across the nest, it looked as if he was about to take it away, but the second chick caught his attention and so then he fed it.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
I agree Lindybird. Shame that the chicks wanted mum's fish after they finished theirs but she has eaten and hopefully she will gradually improve. Now I really must adjust that dress....
