Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
Does anyone think she looks like Lady in this pic?
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
I am going now to get tea ready.
Bye
Yes Sandra, it seems they've been having it very unsettled for the past two months. High winds and rain, and look at it now , its pouring down.
Can I emphasize all the good wishes from bloggers on this thread at what a wonderful job you have been doing through the season with all the pics and your posts. Thank you.

Sandra awlful weather for them. Thanks for the lovely pics of chick 2. Got to go myself now and won't be back until Monday as I am away for the weekend. You are right about tears falling when you read the blog, always starts me off again. Thanks for all your work with the pics. See you Monday.

Morning all:
Robert the Bruce: Thanks for the link to The Osprey - also for the mention of the preview on Amazon. You mention that it's poignant, so I'll check it out later when I'm not likely to boohoo all over the blog. :-) But wouldn't that be nice if the musician "donated" the piece. Are you going to follow up?
Hello Annette (good evening from me and good morning to you I guess!)
I posted the same message on the SWT blog, and have had a few responses. Peter at the centre has already been talking to Dougie about including some of his music on their DVD.
MarjorieM from Vancouver has also written some music which she was going to be recording today. She knows of Dougie's music, and has visited the reserve and area many times, so her composition may well appear too, and I shall be interested to hear it :-)
Hope things are well with you; I'm sure the weather you're getting is a little better than up here near the Scottish border (or indeed in Dunkeld!)
oops, I'll give you the direct link to that page of the blog to save time:

Hi, Just wanted to echo the thanks to those of you who have done a fantastic job of keeping the rest of us up to date with the daily happenings on the nest, particularly with the fantastic photos. Both chicks currently on nest shouting for tea, hopefully chick 2 will get first choice! Not quite sure how much he has eaten today, I can only see that perhaps he got something at about 10.30am today while the other seems to have had 2 or 3 fish - can't think why she shouting be shouting for tea now!
Both on the nest at 6:50.
One left on the nest.
