Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
Sandy: interesting, I wonder if anyone took pictures there? Where else might she stop off on the way?
Paul: no problem! I thought I ought to take over some of the duties from Sandra since she's been so tireless with her updates and pictures!

If you turn your volume right up, you will hear one of the young calling as it watches Lady leaving.

Hi Lynette.
No, not official yet, I think it will be tomorrow. It will be most probably be on the Scotish News as well about 6:30pm. I live in Wales, but I will put Scottish News on to see if anything will be said about our Lady of the Loch!
Last pics before I close off tonight.
Empty nest. Good night.
Night, Sandra, yes, it will probably be on the official blog tomorrow morning, must remember to look.
Thanks Alan for the links - makes interesting reading.
"Good evening all – as the team have not mentioned this as yet, i’m duty bound to tell you that i found out a note was found pinned to the tree some time this morning and this is the gist of it’s contents; "
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
Weep not for me in sadnessAs i take my season’s leaveTake strength from your best memoriesIt’s not yet time to grieve
Fear not for both the juviesYour Laird will see they’re fineHe’ll see to all their needs nowOf course he will – they’re MINE!!
When i lay ill, i felt your loveUpon the wind it flewYour collective inspirationWas what really saw me through
I’d never been so strickenYet knew exactly what to doSo when i upstaged Peter,My friends, that was just for you!!
So will i return to you next year? That’s for fate, and what will be,But as the end of March approachesKeep your your eyes fixed on my tree!!
Nick Gordon on the official LOTL blog has written this beautiful poem to Lady our Lady of the Loch, plus the introduction at the top. I'm sure he won't mind me sharing it with you all.
