Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
Just logged on. What lovely peaceful scene, Lady on the nest with the two young ones. Looks a glorious day there with view of the loch and the family. Couldn't be better.

Good morning Sandra, Sandra and Lindybird. Only just logged in and can see Lady feeding one chick, the other more interested in trying to take off. Lady improves with every day and it is just wonderful to see how much she has progressed. Amazing osprey, love her to bits.

Good afternoon original goldfinch and it is well deserved. Here is another poem posted on the LOtL blog.
Chirp, chirp Ospreys in your tree top nestYour little offspring really have been blessedWith genes from the lady and genes from the lairdThis insures your start in life is fully prepared
Soon you will start to fly and leave your treetop homeEventually to Africa both of you will roamThe bloggers and the osprey team we will be bereftStaring at the empty space all of you have left
Springtime will come round again and hopefully we’ll spyShadows in the distance up there in the skyIs it Laird and Lady being fast propelled? To their favourite fishing ground up there in Dunkeld.
I'm going to attempt to copy a code for opening a pdf file which is the poem Shirley Davies wrote on the official LOTL site and whic <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="365" height="400" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/swflash.cab"> <param name="movie" value="https://acrobat.com/Clients/current/ADCMainEmbed.swf" /> <param name="quality" value="high" /> <param name="wmode" value="transparent" /> <param name="bgcolor" value="#202020" /> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" /> <param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /> <param name="flashvars" value="d=xDtxSnwWOXhoJzAFwQ3ung" /> <embed src="https://acrobat.com/Clients/current/ADCMainEmbed.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#202020" width="365" height="400" align="middle" play="true" loop="false" quality="high" wmode="transparent" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" allowFullScreen="true" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" flashvars="d=xDtxSnwWOXhoJzAFwQ3ung" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer"> </embed> </object> h I have copied out and added a pic. We will have quite a lot of pics to save from this beautiful family!!
