Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
Ev ening Lynette Lady seems to be hunkering right down in the nest but I can't really tell if it is raining but I know it is cold there. The Laird brought more large furniture in and it looks as though it is acting as a windbreak for Lady.

Probably is Margobird, at least the wind seems to have died down today. Weather forecast for Scotland is a little better for today compared with the rest of the country.
All looks peaceful at the moment. In between preening Lady looks to be on the alert, maybe she is expecting a fish delivery. One little chick is poking his head up and having a good ol nosy.

Delightful closeup of the chicks at the moment with mum looking on.
The Laird has just brought in a fish and Lady is now feeding the chicks. Both look strong and healthy. It definately doesn't look as though the 3rd egg will hatch now.
Monring Lynette wonerful viewing at LOtL with Lady feeding her chicks and making sure they bot get their share. No wonder they are growing so quickly. Meal finished now and both chicks absolutely stuffed and Lady now getting back to brooding after a bit of tidying.
Morning all, Lady feeding the chicks again justnow. Can't believe how quickly they are growing!! So lovely to watch :o)
I understand that they are now going to fit transmitters on both birds at LOTL. I have asked the question as to how they are going to identify them as they have a policy of not naming the birds. We shall see what they come up with.
Beautiful scene justnow of both chichs stuffed full of food, they can hardly move! :o)

Thanks Alan for the feed vid, now wonder these 2 chicks are growing so fast. They seem to have an endless suppy of food from the maginificent Laird.
