Loch of the Lowes - 2010

This is the scene a few minutes ago.  Cam was showing one chick eating. now they are looking out into the world.

At present chick is just standing on the fish and one is now going to see if he can pinch it. He's eyeing it up but no, the other chick was mantling over it and has now decided to eat from it again.

Good morning Sandra and Lynette.  Thanks for the pics.  Bit late on here this morning but I did see the fish and wonder whether it was chick 2 who got this one.  They say in the diary they have not seen many fish delivered to the nest but it may be that they are taken to a tree for whatever chick is around to snaffle it.  Weather looks grim and sounds as though it could get worse for them today.  No wonder they leave and go to Africa for some warmth.

Just looked in again and is that the same fish or has another one been delivered.  One youngster still shouting.

Empty nest at 3:50. Blowing a gale up there.

Good afternoon Sandra the weather looks dreadful, so windy and wet at times.  Both chicks have eaten this morning.  The nest is empty a lot now and we had better get used to it as it won't be long before they leave us for their long and hazardous migration.  I think about Lady all the time and wonder where she is and if she has missed the worst of the weather.  Got to go soon dinner preparation to do.
