Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
Feeding is going on here here as well as at LG. We still don't know if it was a full fledging or not there.

They've finished eating and are doing some preening etc.
Lovely one of them both preening.

Thanks Sandra. The main reason I thought it might be Laird was the reaction of the youngsters on the nest. They didn't seem perturbed. Its been a wonderful day at LOTL and at LG in spite of the wind which seems to be abating, for now at least. I managed to put in a couple of hours gardening too. Very therapeutic. Thanks to you and everyone else for pics and clips. Great stuff.
Yes, Emma.
I was wondering why they were so calm too.
Are you watching cam~2? Lot of action going on and I think one left the nest at 6:12 and I just noticed that it is back. Both are lifting right up from the nest.
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Here we go again!!! lol
Hi Sandra. Yes I have been watching the little lift-offs. Its such fun at this stage isn't it. Both youngsters are hunkered down in the nest at the moment. One seems to be on its side. I do hope its alright and just in a strange position.
Its fine. Just had its head down against its brother/sister....all is well.
What a great day, fledging at LOTL and now at Loch Garten, long day - even missed the British GP - couldn't tear myself away.
Have a nice evening all.
regards
ChloeB and Lofty - wonderful videos - very many thanks
