Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
Chicks have now come out from under her.
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Lynette.
She has fallen to the front of the nest.
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
she is still trying to get up.

That is her then, and not some large branch. Oh dear, how sad if it is the end. She is quite an old bird isn't she. Do hope the staff will be able to do something to help augment feeds and Laird can keep feeding the chicks. Just at a crucial stage of their development too.

She looks like she is injured .
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
She is still alive, just, trying to lift herself but just doesn't seem able to find the strength.
The cam seems to have gone down, maybe they have taken it offline because of what is happening there.
Has anyone else found the cam to be not working???
Hi Lynette
Cam down with me too, poor Lady, this is so sad.
Morning to all.
This is just awful and so upsetting to watch. I have just phoned Loch of the Lowes and they told me she may be dehyrated and could come round. they also hope that the Laird may step in and feed the chicks, so we just have to wait and pray she will be OK.

Could it be they've taken it off line until they can ascertain what has happened to Lady.???
