Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
Lady has just flown in from a comfort break. Cam has got gremlins again.

Interesting that they have reported that the Laird has also been feeding the chicks. I don't know how many people saw it as the cam was down nearly all of yesterday.

I just read that too, and also the male at Brassenthwaite Lake in Cumbria fed his chicks the day before although the female was NOT happy about it and chased him off again. It seems the boys are all having a go at feeding the chicks this year, at least during this period good weather and plenty. Lovely to see :-)
Lady hunkered down right over the chicks now as it has started raining. Thunder is rumbling away too.
Lay was shouting like mad and in comes The Laird with fish, right on que. Now feeding the not so little chicks.
Look at these two at 5:30pm lol And Lady is watching them. :-)
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)
Lady is eating the remains of a fish and now giving some to one of the chicks 5:40pm
Both are eating now.
Nice pics, Sandy. Lady just at side of the nest keeping watch whilst the youngsters sleep off the feed.It does't look as though its raining there so much because she is not sheltering them.
