Thought I'd start a separate thread for the posting of news, updates, pictures etc. from the nest at the Loch of the Lowes. Now that the first chick has hatched at Loch Garten the Daily Update page is going to get too unwieldy if it is used for news from LotL as well as LG, and the "News From Other Nests" is getting pretty full as well.
Lynette.
A few have named him Frank, I have no idea why though.
If nothing goes right, go left! :-)

Yet another wonderful pic from the nest. have been watching a lot today in the absence of live cam from LG (watching stills camera though) and there are such tender moments in this nest. Watched Lady shifting a big stick a little while ago.
Sandy he has been named by some as Frank who liken him to Frank Spencer (a comedy show Some Mothers do Have them) but I think that is a bit unfair now as he has so far been the perfect mate for Lady.

Here's a pic of Lady Marge feeding the weans.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.

Thanks Heron 77 just love watching her when she is feeding the little ones and making sure they both get food. As I type she is calling quietly so perhaps another fish is on its way.
Thanks
Awww. I shall call him "Laird" as well. He is doing an excellent job with Marge and the chicks. :-)
It looks like the Laird has found the rainbow trout at Loch Butterstone. Although this pic doesn't show it that well it was huge!
Apparently he was nick-named Frank after Frank Spencer due to his carelessness and ineptitude on the nest in the early days. but he's doing really well these day.

Lynette he really does deserve to be called the Laird as you say has proved to be a wonderful mate for Lady. A couple of minutes ago he was sitting in the nest with Lady. It is so windy there at the moment and I guess not very warm with it.
