Well another day begins with the night-time. EJ is fidgiting again and rolling the eggs although the chicks sound quiet now and Lady at LOTL is having a moment - fidgiting a bit but now settled down.
All you early watchers I hope you find that EJ's 1st chick will have hatched. Capture it if you can and we will find out in the morning.
Goodnight all.

EJ hasn't moved any eggshell for us to see, which would tell us if there had been a hatching. Chick is quite loud now.
Here's Odin with sticks !!!! Now they are moving the furniture. But EJ is not budging.
i am positive I saw a little head bobbing in front of EJ Just before Odin came
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Barbara Jean - Yes, I saw that but I couldn't decide whether it was a head or a stray feather.
Wouldn't EJ be shouting louder at him to go and fish, if there was a chick ?
C'mon Odin, don't just stand there, EJ's calling for fish.
Well, he has gone again, maybe for a fish !

I think if it hatched in the past hour or so she would want it to dry off before she gets up to eat or to feed it
I could see the head flopping down. Feathers just wave in the wind
It bobbled back and forth a couple of times and then flopped down
Good morning everyone. I'm going to miss the best, obviously, since I'm out later hiking. Oh well. PLEASE someone take pics.
Odin now needs to build up the nest sides for when the chicks are bigger.
