EJ has just had another egg turning session. Clarity of night vision is much better.
We await in anticipation, today could be the day!!!!!!!!!!!!

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Oh well. It's stopped now....
It sounded like a large animal not a bird
Formerly known as Barbara Jean
Well I guess that was a crow that came pretty close judging by the racket - EJ was watching it. Just checked RSPB LG and Google to see what animals in that area might've made all the racket I heard earlier, but didn't see anything - maybe it was a lot of crows fighting over something and the echo made it sound all the louder...
Morning (or what ever) to all :) I can't get over this silly mental picture: the reason for EJ's wriggling when sitting on the eggs is that those chicks move so much inside their shells that they are tickling EJ's brooding patch (do ospreys have those?)

Hey Auntie: Tickling her brooding patch? Sounds reasonable to me. :-) She was calling earlier but has been quiet the last hour or so.... Odin should be showing up soon.
Well folks. It's been just too exciting for words on here tonight (not!), so I'm going to fold up my tent in a few minutes. EJ is quiet, although fidgeting and inspecting the eggs frequently. No sign of Odin as yet. All the other birds at LG have been up and about for ages - Radio Cuckoo was playing intermittently and I suspect that's Radio Chaffinch twittering away now. Apart from that, all I can hear is the rustle of EJ's feathers as she wiggles about on the eggs (that buzz is almost non existent now, which is wonderful).
Night-night Annette
EJ having little wriggles (cor, like contractions ain't it, all this expectancy.) I'm listening to Radio Chaffinch in one ear and Radio Magpie (aussie) in other.
hello AQ :) I'm listening two programs too. Radio Chaffinch of course but the other one is Finnish Radio Fieldfare. Must say Radio Chaffinch sounds more musical LOL
edit, actually now I have two Radio Chaffinches :)
Hello Auntie. I am so hopeful that something exciting will happen just in the brief time I am watching, instead of waiting until tomorrow morn. Our magpie has departed having sung for his afternoon tea.
