Evening all. Good grief. We already have color at LG. EJ is on the nest; all looks peaceful.
Lynette: You asked Gary where he's located. He did answer you the first time around (Saturday?), but seems you either missed it or the posts got messed up. Anyway, you asked again yesterday and Emma responded; then Gary responded again (he said he wasn't ignoring you!). Anyway, Gary is in Connecticut in the Eastern U.S., but he's a Brit, like me! (Sorry if this all sounds complicated)
Oh. Did I miss a changeover? That looks like Odin fussing with the soft furnishings. Hmm.
Odin, sitting quietly in calm dry conditions, even the birdsong is muted.

EJ returns; is scratching her head and having a little peep while creeping up on Odin - who's just flown off. EJ back on eggs. All peaceful. EJ seems much more nonchalent on the eggs than Odin, who does tend to project a "this is my territory!" attitude while on guard.
And here comes Odin - again! They peep at each other and off goes EJ. No fish, but nobody seems upset.
OK guys. Foyle's War has finished and I'm done too. Have a good Monday all. Odin still on nest and EJ off and about.
Someone is sitting on nest listening to Radio Chaffinch. At first I had no sound but it seems I hit the mute button at some point <duh> A few calls from . . . it's Odin on the nest?
Stands, wing flaps, more chirps. Is there an intruder about? Come on lad, get back on those eggs. And so he does.
EJ flies in, not long Odin takes off and she settles quickly.
I forgot I had washing on the line. Now it's all damp again as it's 4.30 pm <sigh> Returned in time to see EJ adjusting her cushions.
Sorry folks, I've been in kitchen, haven't seen anything for a while & must depart now. EJ, I think, is still on the nest.
