Evening all: Thanks so much for all the previous posts - especially Gary's brilliant skills on the video. I keep trying MWSnap but still can't get anything but a black screen when I click on the LG live webcam. Sigh.
Lynette: Oh no - didn't have any problem with being reminded of who said what; it's just as well someone can remember! :-)
It's already lightish at LG; EJ awake and on her eggs.
I hope there is somebody watching as I have to go out now. Odin still on nest.
Odin still sitting on the nest:) he looks hot!
At LOTL, there is concern about the eggs as the males seems to not take his incubation duties seriously (as this afternoon shows) and the eggs were unattended for a while one evening when it was cold. However, here is a link to someone who takes fantastic photo's of the ospreys at LOTL

Odin was alarm calling a short while ago and then, suddenly, EJ appeared from the below the front of the nest and took Odin completely by surprise:
EJ brought a stick with her:
What a great capture Sandy. Looks like they're fighting.
As you say, Odin was chirping for a while so he was very keen to go and see off the unseen intruder. I've never seen him get off those eggs as quickly as he did.
Here's a clip of the exchange, EJ doing some house work, and settling in.

Thanks for the great clip, Gary. Reviewing the footage I think that EJ didn't bring the stick in but picked it up from the side of the nest after she landed and repositioned it.
I think you're right Sandy. It all happened very quickly but looks like she came in "empty taloned"
Thanks for the clip Gary - had a visitor this afternoon so haven't been watching.

Morning all: Thanks for pix and video (Gary again!). All quiet now at LG with EJ sitting pretty. Welcome back Cirrus - glad you had a good time!
Odin just flew in and immediately started moving heavy furniture. EJ realized she wasn't going to be allowed to rest and got up and flew off. Odin now happily settled on eggs. Did not see a fish.
