Looking at the site at Rutland Water. Female having a turn of the eggs and now settling down again. Lovely and calm there as it is here in Northants.
Would be nice to do a diary for the MantonBay (Rutland) as update on other nests now takes ages to get to the end and update.
Do they have names for these two at MantonBay. Please note I have changed the name to Manton Bay (Rutland) nest updates as a suggestion from Sandy. Hope this meets with everyones approval.

I can confirm that all 4 are still around as I was there this morning. Mum and Dad showing well on the right hand perch and 29(10) on the nest. 30(10) was around but I did not see him from the Shallow Water Hide.
5 R and Mrs 5R have done a great job with their first brood this season. Here is 5R today on left hand perch:
Lucky you Alan and thanks for the pic. I guess they will be off soon and the osprey season will really come to a close.

Alan: I couldn't agree more about the Manton Bay parents this year - as first-timers they have done a magnificent job in raising the three youngsters. Even better has been the fact that both you and me got to witness a lot of it! I feel privileged to have been able to see it.
Glad that you got down there this morning on such a nice day. I don't know if you are planning to go again this year but I think I got my last glimpse last Friday. I won't be able to visit before next week and I guess they'll probably have moved on by then. I knew on Friday that it would in all probability be my last view of them which is why I spent five and a half hours there! Contrary to today's update on the RW website all three juveniles were there late afternoon as 31 suddenly appeared to resume his battle with 29 by knocking her off the nest and chasing her around the bay.
I see that most of the other birds at RW have left so I wish them all a safe passage and an easy life over the Winter.
All 4 still around. Latest tweet:
Amazingly still 4 birds in Manton today. Those of you with a late departure date on the Egleton Church Birdfair raffle may be in luck...

Thanks Alan, such a shame that the Lyndon centre is now shut on week-days so we can't go and see them.
Sandy : Apparently if you ask for access at Egleton you can still visit the hides:
"views excellent but could migrate any day now so not guaranteed, Lyndon Centre closed but ask at Egleton for access to hides "
That's good to hear, Alan. I think that they got caught out because they didn't expect them to still be here when they set the date for closing the Lyndon Centre. In fact, at the start of the season they didn't expect there to be a family in Manton Bay at all.
Looks like 5R may have gone. Latest tweet:
"No sign of 5R again this morning, so has likely migrated, but female & both juveniles still about... "
