Looking at the site at Rutland Water. Female having a turn of the eggs and now settling down again. Lovely and calm there as it is here in Northants.
Would be nice to do a diary for the MantonBay (Rutland) as update on other nests now takes ages to get to the end and update.
Do they have names for these two at MantonBay. Please note I have changed the name to Manton Bay (Rutland) nest updates as a suggestion from Sandy. Hope this meets with everyones approval.

Thanks Margo, Brenda and Alan - the pleasure is all mine!
I'm off out soon but will post some more pics later.
Juves feeding on the nest:
One of the youngsters finds out that not all trees are equal and that the uppermost branches won't support its weight:
Mum on the wing:
They really are super action shots, Sandy. I have never visited Rutland so it has to be a must for next year. Once again, thank you.
Thanks Sandy for more brilliant pictures, so good and how clear they are.

At the risk of sounding repetitive had another great afternoon at Manton Bay. Fantastic views of 30(10) from Waderscrape Hide:
Sandy, Thanks so much for yet more wonderful photos!
Brenda H, If you've been inspired to visit Rutland, I've now discovered there is an official website:

Sadny thanks for more stunning photographs.
Spent a couple of hours at Manton Bay this morning and saw 2 of the juveniles and mum and dad. No idea where the 3rd one was. 5R brought in a fish and the 2 juves were eating it for most of the time I was there. Mrs 5R sat on her perch watching for intruders. Cant match Sandys pics but took this one of juve on dead tree from Waderscrape Hide:
Good afternnon Alan I am so envious. Lovely pic of the juve.
Took advantage of the better weather today and went to RW early this morning. I don't know whether the adults are practicing tough love already but there were no fish deliveries while I was there. The youngsters were certainly moaning at the lack of fish - what a racket! I've never heard them being so vocal before.
Unfortunately none of them decided to sit in the dead tree, so no close-ups today. Here is one of the juves landing on the French perch, much to the disapproval of its sibling:
And just to show there's always lots to see at Manton Bay, here's a nice pic of a lapwing:
