Morning/evening all: Lovely day here. Sunny, warm, cactii are beginning to bloom. Will be keeping one eye on the volcano and the other on EJ while doing other things tonight (hmmm...). Should be interesting. Lots of chat about the volcano on the last page of the previous week. Off to start dinner; back later!
Good morning Lindybird packing done and like you I lay it all out on the bed and then worked out what I wanted to take. Covering all weather types as they have been having heavy rain showers. Only discarded one item to take and have checked the case will shut. OH will not be amused if ny case is overweight. It shouldn't be but us girls like to take several pairs of shoes, most of which will probably not be worn, extra teeshirts and underwear and ths list goes on. Looking forward to it now, although not looking forward to getting up in the middle of the night.

Having a sit down partway through packing - got all my stuff out on the bed - but now need to make decisions for weather up north. I think I am taking tee-shirts for under shirts and cardigans for on top of shirts - but how many can I fit in my suitcase ... . Holidays are such hard work.

Its the bit I hate, OG - wish you had a crystal ball to know what the weather would be like, sometimes. You sound as if you're doing the right thing by having layers of clothes to wear, then you can peel them off if you need. As Margobird says, us ladies need more pairs of shoes for all the different outfits and eventualities - sometimes I wish I could have an extra bag just for shoes as I can't decide what I'm gong to need.

Lindybird : Congratulations on your good news. I have 4 grandchildren and 7 step grandchildren. 7 boys and 4 girls altogether.

OG : I hope you have a good trip also and the weather improves for you.
We go to Wales on saturday and I have quite a lot of tidying up to do in the garden. Also the Thunderdog has to be groomed on thursday and he has to have his case packed.
Weather today is sunny intervals but still cold. Temp 7.5C should be around 15C.
Thanks for the congrats, Alan. I remember you had a lot of Christmas presents to sort out, what a crowd of grandchildren you have. It must be someones birthday every other week. Hope the Thunderdog has enough doggie treats to put in his suitcase. FAB
