Looking at the nest, EJ head tucked under her wing and resting - all is at peace.

Oh my goodness .... I go out for lunch and come back to read of another fish delivery ... just brilliant ... and then some musical 'chairs-egg-sitting' by the sounds of it :))

I presume Odin saw something he was not happy about.

DjoanS it is turning out to be a much better day for fish today. I managed to see the second one and i was quite large. The musical chairs was quite funny to watch but as Cirrus said I think Odin saw something he didn't like so he tood off and EJ returned.

Lady P, Thunderdog and I are going to Wales, to the same cottage we have rented for the past few years about 3 miles from Betws-y-coed in Snowdonia. We will be visiting the Glaslyn site when we are there and hopefully see the chicks there as the eggs were laid earlier.

Lovely part of the world. For many years in childhood to teens I took a family holiday at the same guest house in Abergele. Been back to the Snowdonian area once or twice since those days and have enjoyed it each time I was there.
The first hatchling due about the 22nd May, then! great, not too long to wait now.

Brenda the more you watch these wonderful ospreys the more you marvel at the strength, tenacity and approach to breeding in some awful weather at times. This what makes them so wonderful. Am trying to sort out stuff to pack and not really sure what I should be taking. Although reasonably warm in Venice they are having lots of heavy showers. Just hoping it will settle down a bit for next week. Talking about weather I see they could have hail showers next Monday and Tuesday at LG, now that will be painful for EJ and Odin I should think.
Just catching up with all the news and glad to see Odin has delivered yet again and is doing his bit at sitting. I take it EJ is now on the nest. Very windy up there still. Missed all the action as usual but watched Alan's clip.
Could be a blackbird singing - sounds like the same birdsong I hear most mornings at dawn. Still nice and peaceful on the nest with EJ getting a little blown about.
great two fish already and i have missed both deliveries

Tried to find out just now when Springwatch returns does anybody have an idea when?
EJ looks contented and alert.
EJ chirping gently and just had a stretch, what is she trying to do - oh, moving a large stick - it must have been in the way. Now doing a bit of furniture arranging, "ah thats better I can settle down again." She's certain having a good ol rummage, not quite happy with the arrangement at the moment.
