Looking at the nest, EJ head tucked under her wing and resting - all is at peace.

RSPB Giving Nature a Home
Sorry Brenda I am becoming increasingly confused, a bit of a worry. I think EJ and Odin knock all the sense out of me. That is all I can think about these days. So pleased EJ has had 2 fish today and we can hope there will be more. EJ must be really enjoying the fish as she is not back yet. I think there was nest material on it but it did look a decent size.
Margobird
I sit corrected, Alan's video clearly shows the head on - no material that I can see - just a head
Afternoon Lindybird, Odin certainly upping his game today. What a relief and EJ is taking her time with it and allowing him a long time on the eggs.
Wonderful clip again Alan: thanks for that - I was eating lunch & heard EJ shouting, & when I came in I just saw the rush of wings as she went! Glad too, that the rain they had last night has now ceased so that they can have a dry day to egg sit.
Hope you have a wonderful holiday in Wales - we know that part well as its not far for us, and it is a beautiful part of the world. Take some photos at Glaslyn if you can!

Thanks for the clip Alan, watching it again it looked to be quite a good size.
Unknown said: Ist egg laid 15 April which means egg will hatch .... 22 May ???????????????????????? Is anyone able to comfirm this. Not sure of the number of actual days from laying to hatching. 37 ? I was just thinking that a least I'd be home for the hatching. :) All quiet on the LG front. Looks cold and a little miserable. EJ just started to peep

Cirrus Predicting hatching day is not an exact science. Normally the first egg hatches after 37 or 38 days with subsequent eggs hatching a bit quicker. However EJ has usually hatched her first egg after 36 days of incubation.
So we might expect the hatching around May 21st.
Tiger Signature
Just watched Alan's clip again. I just marvel at the strength of these birds as they take off with the fish held by just one foot.
EJ finally returns and Odin goes without too much of a fuss
Thank you for that Tiger. Either way I have a big grin on my face 'cos I'll be back in time to watch.
EJ returns and Odin leaves. EJ should feel quite sated for a while now.
