Hi all. Back in a bit.
Lets hope it was Odin and after eating the head he will deliver!! Frantic calling now. Come on Odin, I'm hungry.

Oh flop, I thought I heard Odin give one 'intruder' chirp. And EJ is all alert.
I see the wind has now got going, its breezy. I came on to find EJ on the nest with a feather stuck on her beak, (the wind has now blown it away) here she is:
Maybe the one chirp was Odin letting EJ know he sure had heard her and he'd be there shortly. At least EJ has shut up. Let's hope that was it.
How long does it take to eat a head? He's had over 15 mins. Maybe I got it all wrong and the nagging was because EJ saw him arrive in the vicinity of the nest without a fish and the one loud chirp of Odin's was to say 'Ok Ok I'm going '.
Cirrus even though the nice person at LG told me she can go 2 days without a fish and not to worry I have to confess I do. I find it very hard to hear her calling and looking out for Odin. Keep going away and hoping that when I come back he has delivered the goods. We have to try and think positive thinking and will him to go fishing. It is probably difficult today because it is quite windy. Fingers crossed Odin will deliver or take over the incubation duty so EJ could at least have a go at catching one for herself.
Margobird
I was hoping there would have been a fish delivery while I was out ... but no :(( EJ has been quiet for a while, but now she is calling ... so maybe he has appeared with a fish and is eating the head ... I do hope so!

Me too, DjoanS.
Margobird EJ is moulting. She won't fish with her feathers not right. That's why the male must do the fishing. The females take the opportunity at this time to get the moult out of the way. (Dunno when the males moult - in Africa I would think) - this is what Richard or someone said last year anyway,
You learn something every day on here - I didn't even know until this spring that they moulted at all.
