OK. So we're keeping a special eye out for Odin this morning..... Cirrus: I remember Odin bringing fish very early when I was watching the chicks last year - it's much lighter earlier then so that may account for it. jsb: Thanks for the info re EJ's (non-)returning chicks. BIrds must be a lot like us: We love to see our kids but aren't too keen on having them move back in and taking over the house.
Oh Dear. I checked and checked and I agree with Wattle.
So we can assume that EJ has not been fed since Saturday! In a mad rush. Hope the centre lets us know something!!
Everything in life is speaking in spite of its apparent silence.
Morning. It is all very puzzling. At least EJ seems in no doubt about 'who is who'.
EJ started to squeak a moment ago while she turned the eggs but she doesn't seem perturbed about being not fed . She look quite relaxed. Stranger than fiction these two!!
Hi everyone.Fairly certain going through the email alerts and posts, that Odin landed, earlier this morning. Although I did see EJ tell a male osprey to (hmm how can I put it politely?) go away, when I first logged on, around 7.30, if short term memory serves me correctly. EJ stood up, called for a couple of seconds (not frantic) the re-settled on the eggs. 08.37.Off topic, I know, but I saw this year's first baby House Sparrows in the garden this morning. :-)Paul.
Warning! This post contains atrocious spelling, and terrible grammar. Approach with extreme edginess.
I have loads of sparrows but not a baby yet. Paul aren'r they the funniest wee things the way they shake and screech at mum and dad to feed them and as soon as the parents backs are turned they feed themselves!!
Another intruder mistimed landing and his leg I thought got caught in EJs wing!
Aaaargh! EJ started 'calling' to Odin, then looked around to see him approach - however (if it was him), he landed on her back & then immediately took off again... was it him, it was so quick....
Yes Tish, I missed capturing the picture, I was doing something else, could have been a good shot.

EJ calling franticly. Male tried to land but was told to get lost. All happened in a flash. 08.50tish: Totally agree on baby sparrows. Endless entertainmemnt. :-)
